first birthday

Happy New Year 2018!

t is pretty much the end of January, and it is 2018! Wow! Another year with all my loyal clients.

I feel blessed to be able to continue this baking hobby of mine with the support of my husband and my boys.

Talking about my boys, they are all growing up so fast. My second son is a Senior in high school this year and I cannot believe how time flew by during the four years of high school! My older son is attending Junior College to save us some money and is planning to transfer to Cal State Fullerton in the near future. I am proud of both their accomplishments.

In the meantime, baking is steadily happening, and the oven is firing up with some orders coming my way.

Here are a few pictures you may enjoy. Again, thank you so much for supporting small businesses. Cheers to a successful 2018!

Edible succulents

Succulents have been a big hit the last few years. You discover them in floral arrangements, on top of cakes, and even for birthdays and baby showers.

Edible succulents are as popular. I have been doing so many edible succulents to adorn my cupcakes for bridal showers, birthdays and baby showers.

Here is the latest order with edible succulents. #ediblesucculents

Spring has sprung and summer is around the corner

There isn’t enough time in the day to do it all! I have decided I needed to take it easy in my older days. Hint, the lack of keeping up with updating this website with new pictures of orders I have done the last few months.

I am still taking orders, but they are very limited as I have decided to enjoy the time with my family. I will always value the loyalty clients have given me the past 7 years. Thanks again for always making it happen and work the details of your orders with me.

Here are a few pictures of some orders the last few months. Not all of them are here…

Happy New Year! 2017 here we come!

It has been a busy few months since Halloween all the way to end of December. I unfortunately had to declined quite a few orders the last few months of the year as the holiday approached. In order for me to do quality work and focus on my orders, it is best for me to limit myself to a certain number of orders. I am trying to balance a family and business lifestyle, which at times is challenging. Having growing teens is another challenge on its own. Just as you ponder you are done with catering to your off springs because they “appear” to be responsible, and claim themselves to be “adult”, you find yourself caught in a whirlwind of argumentative explanations. Nevertheless, my husband and I have come to the conclusion they will not be “adult” until they actually move out and pay 100% of their bills. In the meantime, with one eye open, you are trying to survive this stage of life!

But enough said about my life.

2016 was fab and I have faith 2017 will be even more rewarding. Orders have poured in since the beginning of January 2017, and once more I find myself declining them.

Below are pictures of cupcakes I am finally posting to keep my website up to date! As always, thank you for all your support.

Under the sea birthday theme!

Just loved this little cake and the cupcakes to match it.

The gold whimsical seashells along with the mermaid was the cutest!

Updating this blog has been slow lately. Sorry for all the late posts! Enjoy

I have been missing in action the last few months, and have neglected to update my posts. My apology!

It has been a busy last few months with my son graduating from high school, and prepping him to transition to college.

Needless to say, I do not even remember the last few months as it is a total blur to my memory.

In the meantime, orders were done to accommodate all my clients, and I was ecstatic to find out summer was just around the corner so I can sit back and enjoy some me time.

Thanks for all your loyalty and support. Enjoy the few pictures I took.

March orders

I totally neglected to update my blog this past few weeks. Life has been fast and furious. Orders, job, kids….but I will say no more.

Here are some pictures of sweets for March orders.

Happy Spring!

Up UP UP it goes!

Celebrating your first birthday is always one of the most and biggest splurge parents tend to give their  children. And as the years go by, parents tend to re-access their budget and priorities. I have been receiving lots of first birthday celebration orders lately, and lots of them are so fun to design and bake for. This order is among one of them in my book. Theme is hot air balloons and planes.

Jemmelee, the mom, custom made invitations which imitates a plane ticket. How clever was that! The cake was simple and cute to match the invite and her colors scheme. Thanks again for the order, and hope James had a great First Birthday celebration!

Unicorn theme birthday fit for a sweet princess!

This sweet couple has been my clients list since their wedding. I first designed their wedding cupcakes for the tea ceremony at home. This year, their sweet daughter turned ONE, and they asked if I can design a cake and cupcakes for their little precious princess. Rock and Karen moved to Plano, Texas, and decided to celebrate their daughter’s first birthday in California among family and friends. After lots of emails, we decided on a unicorn princess cake birthday theme, all decked out with a ruffled smash ombre pink smashed cake. Thanks Rock and Karen for another wonderful opportunity to design Emmaskye First Birthday. It was nice seeing you both again. Looking forward to the new addition to your family very soon as well. Take care and see you the next time you are in California for another special celebration.

Summer fun

The last time I had a new post was in June, right when school ended. Now we are a week away from school getting started all over again!

This summer has been fulfilling with my brother and his fiancee visiting us. We tried to balance out daily activities along with my orders, and summer activities with the boys! Needless to say, I had a very busy summer.

Here are a few orders I managed to bake and design between outings with my family.

Hope everyone had a great summer! Back to school will be in full swing next week, and it is time for me to also start taking orders for the upcoming holidays!
